Paraments for Lent & Holy Week

Lent precedes the Easter Season.  It is a time for reflection, fasting, and prayer.  This was the 40 days when Jesus wandered the desert and was tempted by Satan.  Purple (the color of penitence and mourning, as well as royalty) is used during Lent.  Symbols for Lent include crown of thorns, three nails, spear, chalice, and cross draped in purple.
